What ClipAtelier does

ClipAtelier (https://clipatelier.com) turns long videos into short vertical clips and, when you ask it to, publishes those clips to social accounts you connect (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram).

Information we collect

Account data: your email address and a hashed password.

Content you provide: video links or files you submit, and the clips, captions, titles, descriptions and hashtags generated from them.

Connected accounts: when you connect YouTube, TikTok or Instagram we store the access and refresh tokens those platforms issue, plus the public account or channel name.

Browser storage: we keep you signed in with a token saved in your browser's local storage, and remember a few interface preferences (such as your last language choice) the same way. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Google and YouTube data

ClipAtelier uses YouTube API Services. When you connect a YouTube channel we ask Google for two permissions: "youtube.upload", used only to upload the clips you publish, schedule or queue via autopilot to your channel; and "youtube.readonly", used only to read your channel's name so we can show which channel is connected.

From Google we store only the OAuth access and refresh tokens and your channel name. We do not read your existing videos, comments, subscribers, playlists, analytics or any other Google account data.

ClipAtelier's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy (https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy), including the Limited Use requirements.

We do not sell Google user data, share it with third parties, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models. Nobody at ClipAtelier reads it unless you ask us to for support, it is needed for security, or the law requires it.

By connecting YouTube you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms). Google's own handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).

How we use your information

To process your videos, show your projects, and publish clips to the accounts you connected — immediately, at the time you schedule, or according to autopilot rules you configure.

We do not use your social accounts for anything you did not request.

Service providers

To make clips we send the video and audio you submitted — never your Google or social account data — to Google Gemini (scene analysis) and Groq (transcription, titles and hashtags). Finished clips are stored on Cloudflare R2. These providers process the media only to deliver the service.

Revoking access and deleting data

You can disconnect a channel at any time under Accounts in ClipAtelier: we revoke the tokens with the platform, delete them from our database and cancel that channel's pending posts.

You can also revoke ClipAtelier's access from your Google Account security settings (https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions). We check connected channels every day and delete the stored tokens of any channel whose access was revoked, within 7 days at the latest.

Source videos are deleted once clips are rendered. Clips are deleted automatically 15 days after they're made (a clip with a post still scheduled is kept until it goes out), or earlier when you delete the project.

To delete your account and all associated data, email privacy@clipatelier.com from the address you signed up with; we complete deletion within 30 days.
